The Ancient Table

This is a brand manual for The Ancient Table, a concept for a paleo restaurant in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine. The elements used in this design support the modern paleo lifestyle, an ancient diet adapted to the current times. With that in mind, I designed this manual using a mix of rustic elements in the textures combined with modern simplicity of the typography and graphics. The book was hand bound using a Japanese stab binding in an arrow pattern.

The Ancient Table logo uses a neighborhood icon from Over-the-Rhine, Music Hall. The design is based on the theme of the restaurant: ancient meets modern.

The Ancient Table brand book cover was hand made using wallpaper, book board, and waxed linen thread.
